I am not your guide. I am your local friend in Ecuador. So it's essential that you know about me and my types of conversations. And viceversa.

I was born in Ecuador in 1968, studied and lived in the USA. I started a lifesyle magazine in Miami back in the early 2000s. Then I was the publisher of an Ecuadorian Travel magazine specialized in Responsible Travel. Part of my journey has been moving around Ecuador, reporting about travel with a positive impact. I owned Manso boutique hotel for many years in Guayaquil, and the place became a hub for the local arts and Responsible Travel in the area.

I am also a critical witness of the Latin American reality and the challenges in the face of modernization and extractive industries. I feel a lot of respect for the powerful and positive indigenous presence in National politics of Ecuador.

Regarding the Left-Right discussion, I really don't see the World in terms of Left and Right. I think it's more real now to see it in terms of Localists and Globalists. Science can be a tool to accumulate money and power. Or it can be used to improve people's lives. Science can deny the existence of Spirit and focus only on making money. Or it can try to understand human consciousness so we become a better civilization. In the 21st Century, the way governments use science says a lot more than arcaic labels like Left or Right.

I currently reside in Vilcabamba, southern Ecuador, in Finca Sagrada ecovillage, where my service is to contribute to the fulfillment of the prophecy of the encounter of the Eagle and the Condor, from this magical corner of the World.

I am a TikToker! Check out my Instagram/TikTok channel called Filosofia Perenne 5.0 (= Perennial Philosophy 5.0), which purpose is to decode ancient wisdom and explain it in contemporary language. My philosophy is aligned with the esoteric traditions of ancient cultures: We are all one, and life is a stage subordinate to our loving spiritual beings, part of an universal divine force of Love.

Regarding the pro-anti vaxx discussion that divides the World today, all I can say is that I hope I never lose the ability to discuss using logical arguments and learn from those who have different views

I love Nature, and with a group of friends founded a few years ago an environmental organization called Agua Sagrada (Sacred Water) dedicated to stewarding water in Ecuador's rural areas.

In VIlcabamba I am part of a project to create an Autonomous Bioregion, a valley with sustainable farming, regional currency, and many other services to help people live thriving lives.

I have two kids who I devotedly love and who live in Guayaquil, Luka and Nua. I will show you pictures of them when we meet.

These are the links to part of my work. Most of it is in Spanish but for the websites you can use translate.google.com to see them in English.

All three share content about what Aldous Huxley called the Perennial Philosophy, or the Ancestral wisdom of the World. The "5.0" is because I apply that philosophy to modern-world situations.
